AIIMS-Delhi has launched the 'Ashray' facility, a night-shelter initiative supported by the CRPF, to provide safe accommodation, food, and dignity to patients and their attendants waiting for outpatient department (OPD) services. The facility, with a capacity of 250, uses electric buses to transport individuals to and from OPDs, ensuring orderly registration and reducing discomfort. It is currently operating at full capacity, addressing overcrowding and overnight queues.
