Telangana's Drugs Control Administration has issued an urgent advisory to immediately stop using Almont-Kid Syrup, a children's medicine for allergies and asthma. This action follows an alert from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) indicating the syrup, containing Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride and Montelukast Sodium, was found adulterated with highly toxic Ethylene Glycol. The affected batch (AL-24002) was manufactured by Tridus Remedies in Bihar. Authorities are directing retailers and hospitals to freeze stocks and urging the public to report any possession of the syrup.
