At least 10 people have died and hundreds have fallen ill in Indore's Bhagirathpura due to contaminated drinking water. Officials suspect a leak in the Narmada drinking water pipeline near a damaged sewage line allowed wastewater to seep into the potable supply, affecting an estimated 50,000 residents. Authorities are flushing pipelines and investigating further vulnerabilities.
