
The Asian Waterbird Census will take place on Monday in Kakinada and Konaseema districts, focusing on the Godavari estuary and Coringa Wildlife Sanctuary. Approximately 60 experts, including ornithologists, birdwatchers, and Forest Department officials, will participate. This enumeration, part of the Asian Waterbird Census-2026, aims to identify bird species across 12 water bodies, with leadership from the Bombay Natural History Society and Wildlife Institute of India.
