The sale of gobi manchurian and tandoori chicken has been banned at food stalls during the annual Bodgeshwar temple fair in North Goa's Mapusa. Temple committee members cited past complaints about unhygienic preparation conditions posing health hazards. Local vendors selling dishes like omelette pao and Goan xacuti chicken, provided they have valid licenses and permits, are permitted to operate.
