Arrangements for the Attukal Pongala festival, scheduled from February 23 to March 4, are being strengthened with a focus on a green protocol. A 'green army' will be formed, and 3,640 police personnel will manage crowd control. Medical teams, including child specialists, and a 24-hour fire service control room will be operational. Approximately 3,500 workers will handle clean-ups, with 200 voluntary organizations directed to adhere to the green protocol. Special transport services and pilgrim tourism packages are also planned.
