A 'sea conclave' will be held in Kollam on January 7 to discuss critical challenges and solutions within the marine and fisheries sectors. Organized by the Fishermen Community Development Programme, the event aims to address systemic issues like marine pollution, climate change, overfishing, and sea sand mining. The conclave will feature sessions on marine ecosystems and challenges faced by traditional fisherfolk, followed by a public forum for diverse stakeholders and a valedictory session with Union Minister George Kurian.
