Activists from the Public Action Committee and Kale Pani Da Morcha have urged the Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB) to enforce National Green Tribunal (NGT) orders to halt industrial waste discharge into the Buddha Nullah. Despite previous directives and government assurances, activists claim no concrete action has been taken to close illegal discharge points from Ludhiana's common effluent treatment plants. They seek PPCB chairman and member secretary presence at a meeting to discuss the implementation of these orders to reduce pollution and begin the stream's revival.
