An exhibition at Priyasri Art Gallery, inspired by Saumya Roy's book 'Mountain Tales,' transforms the Deonar dumping ground into an intimate artistic exploration. Nine young artists, using Roy's reporting on life and politics surrounding the landfill, present waste as material, memory, and a reflection of Mumbai's consumption and inequalities. The exhibition aims to make viewers confront what the city often ignores, moving beyond abstract data to a humanized perspective on waste.
