An interfaith couple in Hyderabad remarried at a police station after their families objected to their initial elopement and church wedding. The couple, Syed Imran and Bhavya Shri, had married four months prior but faced opposition. Following a complaint by the bride's mother, police counselled both families. The couple then agreed to a second ceremony at the police station, conducted according to Hindu traditions, which resolved the dispute amicably.
