Two villages in Samrala, Ghulal and Bamb, have achieved zero stubble burning this sowing season, earning recognition for their environmentally responsible farming practices. This success is credited to collaborative efforts by the district administration, police, Agriculture Department, CII Foundation, and village panchayats. Farmers reported cost savings, improved soil health, reduced fertilizer and irrigation needs, and comparable or better yields by adopting straw management techniques and utilizing provided machinery.
