The Madhya Pradesh government has proposed three intangible cultural heritage elements for UNESCO's National Inventory: the Maihar Band, the Agariya Ironwork tradition, and the cuisine of the Nimar Region. These proposals, submitted by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board to the Sangeet Natak Akademi, aim to preserve and recognize the state's rich musical legacy, unique tribal craft, and diverse culinary traditions. Detailed documentation has been provided, with hopes for inclusion in the national list, from which one item is selected for UNESCO's World Heritage list every two years.
