The Municipal Corporation has begun installing QR codes in approximately 200 households to improve transparency and accountability in door-to-door garbage collection. This initiative is part of efforts to enhance waste management efficiency. The waste management company, 3R, is increasing its fleet with new large collection vehicles, compactors, mini tippers, and 50 electric vehicles for narrow lanes. Mayor Jatinder Singh Bhatia stated these additions will reduce visible garbage and urged resident cooperation for city cleanliness.
