
The world's largest Shivling, a 210-tonne black granite sculpture from Mahabalipuram, has arrived in Bihar after a 2,500 km journey. The colossal structure is destined for installation at the Virat Ramayan Mandir in East Champaran on January 17, 2026. The 45-day transit through five states saw large gatherings and devotional celebrations along the route. The installation date is considered auspicious, coinciding with a sacred night in Hindu belief.
