Sikkim's high-altitude village Gnathang, near the Indo-China border, is introducing ice hockey and other adventure sports like cycling and rock climbing under the Vibrant Village Programme. The initiative aims to boost adventure tourism, create local employment, and establish Gnathang as a sports destination. District Collector Tushar Nikhare reviewed preparations, and a local resident welcomed the development, anticipating sustainable tourism and employment opportunities.
