The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has expanded to eight teams for its 2026 season with the addition of two new franchises, Sialkot and Hyderabad. These new teams were sold for a combined $12.75 million to a Pakistani real estate consortium and a U.S.-based group. The Multan Sultans franchise will be temporarily managed by the Pakistan Cricket Board due to ownership issues, with its formal auction planned after the season concludes.
