The Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) has expressed optimism about hosting Indian Premier League (IPL) matches in Pune for the 2026 season. Following visits from IPL franchises Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, the MCA thanked the teams for their interest in the MCA International Stadium. The association is confident that with support from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the stadium will be approved as a venue for upcoming IPL fixtures.
