
Devdutt Padikkal has made history in the Vijay Hazare Trophy by becoming the first player to score over 700 runs in two different seasons. He achieved this milestone with an unbeaten 81 in the quarterfinal against Mumbai, helping Karnataka win by 55 runs (VJD method) and advance to the semifinals. Padikkal previously scored 737 runs in the 2020-21 season and has now amassed 721 runs in the current season.
