Rishabh Pant has been ruled out of the upcoming three-match ODI series between India and New Zealand due to a side strain (oblique muscle tear). The injury occurred during a net practice session when Pant was struck by a delivery. Dhruv Jurel has been named as Pant's replacement and has joined the Indian squad. Pant's absence forces the team to recalibrate their middle-order plans for the series, which begins on January 11.
