Awaaz Foundation has warned that particulate matter (PM2.5) levels along the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2026 route exceed World Health Organization guidelines, posing health risks to participants. The foundation measured PM2.5 concentrations significantly higher than both WHO and Central Pollution Control Board standards. Marathon organizers stated that the coastal route, sea breezes, and implemented measures like road cleaning and mist blowers will ensure a safe running environment.
