
Former Mizoram Ranji Trophy cricketer K. Lalremruata, 38, died on Thursday after collapsing during a local match. The incident occurred during a Khaled Memorial 2nd Division Screening Tournament game where Lalremruata, representing Venghnuai Raiders Cricket Club, suddenly fell on the field. Officials stated he suffered a stroke and, despite immediate medical attention, could not be revived. Lalremruata represented Mizoram in the Ranji Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The Cricket Association of Mizoram and the BCCI mourned his untimely death, calling it a significant loss to the sport in the state.
