
Sri Lanka Cricket has appointed former India batting coach Vikram Rathour as a batting consultant for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2026. Rathour, who previously served India from 2019 to 2024 and is currently with Rajasthan Royals, will join Sri Lanka on January 18 and stay until March 10. His role focuses on preparing the team for the tournament, which Sri Lanka will co-host with India starting February 7. This appointment aims to bolster Sri Lanka's coaching staff ahead of their campaign, which begins against Ireland on February 8.
