
Delhi Police constable Sonika Yadav, who won a bronze medal in weightlifting at a national competition while seven months pregnant, has given birth to a baby boy. Yadav, 31, competed in the 84 kg category after training under medical supervision and with her doctor's consent. She expressed a desire to show that pregnancy need not be a limitation for women's goals, emphasizing individual journeys and listening to one's body. She plans to resume training after three months.
