Jay Shah, head of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, has set an ambitious goal for India's performance at the 2036 Olympics, aiming for 100 medals if the country hosts the event. He also expressed confidence in India securing hosting rights for the 2036 Olympics and the 2030 Commonwealth Games. Shah cited Prime Minister Narendra Modi's role in bringing the Commonwealth Games back to India. He stated that India's 2024 Olympic medal tally of six should increase significantly, with at least ten medals coming from Gujarat.
