
Former world billiards champion and India's chief cue sports coach Manoj Kothari has died at the age of 67 following a cardiac arrest. Kothari, who won the IBSF World Billiards Championship in 1990 and the World Doubles Billiards Championship in 1997, also served as chief national coach for over a decade. He was recognized with the Dhyan Chand Award in 2005 for his contributions to Indian sports. He is survived by his wife and son, Sourav Kothari, who is also a former world billiards champion.
