
Mumbai Indians captain Harmanpreet Kaur became the highest Indian run-scorer in the Women's Premier League during the season opener against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Although she scored 20 runs in the match, her total WPL runs now stand at 871, surpassing Shafali Verma's 865. Kaur is fourth overall in WPL history for runs scored. The defending champions Mumbai Indians will next face Delhi Capitals on January 10.
