The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has requested the International Cricket Council (ICC) to move its T20 World Cup matches from India to co-host Sri Lanka, citing safety and security concerns for its contingent. This decision follows the Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) instruction to the Kolkata Knight Riders to release Bangladeshi player Mustafizur Rahman. The BCB stated that if one player's security cannot be guaranteed, the entire team's safety is questionable. The ICC is reportedly considering the request and working on a revised schedule, with the tournament set to begin soon.
