
Former Mizoram Ranji Trophy cricketer K. Lalremruata, 38, passed away on Thursday after collapsing during a local match in Aizawl. While playing for Venghnuai Raiders Cricket Club, Lalremruata suddenly fell on the field and was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Officials cited a stroke as the cause. Lalremruata represented Mizoram in domestic cricket, including the Ranji Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. His death has led to widespread mourning within the cricket community, with the BCCI and state officials expressing condolences. Several matches were cancelled following the incident.
