Both players secured 2.5 points, with Anand defeating Wesley So and Aravindh Chithambaram, and drawing with Wei Yi. Niemann also achieved two wins and a draw. In the women's section, American IM Carissa Yip leads with 2.5 points. Indian player Vantika Agrawal has impressed, scoring two out of three points.
