Suresh Kalmadi, a prominent figure in Indian sports administration and former president of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and Athletics Federation of India (AFI), has passed away at the age of 81. Kalmadi, who also served as a Union minister and Lok Sabha MP, was known for his long tenure in sports leadership, during which he organized events like the 2010 Commonwealth Games and introduced developmental programs for athletics.
