Indian badminton player PV Sindhu was defeated by China's Wang Zhiyi in the semi-finals of the Malaysia Open 2025. Sindhu lost in straight sets, 21-16 and 21-15, at the Stadium Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur. Despite a close first set and an early lead in the second, Sindhu made errors that allowed Wang Zhiyi to secure the win. Earlier, Lakshya Sen also exited the tournament after losing his pre-quarterfinal match.
