
Former Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Terry Wharton has died at the age of 83 after a short illness. Wharton, a prominent figure in the 1960s, spent nine years at Wolves from 1959 to 1968, making 242 appearances and scoring 79 goals. He was part of the team that won promotion back to the top flight in 1967 and also represented Los Angeles Wolves. He later played for Bolton Wanderers, Crystal Palace, and Walsall before retiring.
