The Bombay High Court has halted the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) elections, scheduled for January 6, 2026, due to concerns over the induction of approximately 400 new members. Petitioners, including former cricketer Kedar Jadhav, allege illegality, arbitrariness, and nepotism, claiming relatives of MCA president Rohit Pawar and other office-bearers were added to the voter list. The court noted the rapid admission of members appeared to be done in haste and questioned the process, stating it would examine the decision-making behind the new inductions.
