Australia's cricket selectors are considering a patient approach for fast bowler Pat Cummins at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026. Similar to Travis Head's management in the ODI World Cup, Cummins might be eased into the tournament to maximize his impact later. He is currently recovering from a lumbar stress injury and, along with Josh Hazlewood and Tim David, is included in the provisional squad subject to fitness. Chief selector George Bailey expressed confidence in their availability, potentially with an entry point later in the tournament.
