Bangladesh has officially requested the ICC to relocate their T20 World Cup matches from India to Sri Lanka, citing security concerns for their contingent. This decision follows the Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) directive to the Kolkata Knight Riders to release Bangladeshi pacer Mustafizur Rahman from their IPL squad. The BCB stated that if a single player cannot play in India, the entire team cannot feel safe. The BCCI has dismissed the relocation request as a "logistical nightmare".
