Nilgiris MP A. Raja distributed 'Kalaignar Sports Kits' to 36 wards in Udhagamandalam Municipality. The kits, containing 26 different sports items like footballs, volleyballs, and Silambam sticks, were initially for village panchayats but have now been extended to urban local bodies. Raja urged officials to ensure the equipment is maintained and accessible to the public, especially young athletes.
