Bangladesh's sports advisor, Asif Nazrul, has called for a ban on the Indian Premier League (IPL) broadcast in Bangladesh. This follows the Kolkata Knight Riders' decision to release Mustafizur Rahman, citing rising political tensions and alleged atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh. Nazrul stated Bangladesh will not tolerate insults and requested the Information and Broadcasting Ministry to stop IPL telecasts. He also urged the Bangladesh Cricket Board to seek a venue change for T20 World Cup matches from India to Sri Lanka.
