
Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant sustained a blow above his waist from a delivery during a training session in Vadodara on Saturday, the eve of the first ODI against New Zealand. He received treatment from support staff, including head coach Gautam Gambhir, and left the ground in pain. Pant, who last played an ODI in July 2024, was focusing on his batting technique. Other players, including captain Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma, were also seen practicing and offering tips.
