Homegrown messaging platform Arattai has launched an Android TV app, enabling video calls directly from televisions. The update, announced by Zoho's Sridhar Vembu, aims to enhance group calls and family catch-ups with a larger screen experience. Users can create, schedule, and join meetings using their TV remote. The app supports external USB cameras and microphones, as most smart TVs lack built-in hardware for video conferencing. Further refinements are anticipated throughout 2026.
