Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw met with Nvidia officials to discuss the development and local manufacturing of sovereign graphics processing units (GPUs) and high-end AI hardware in India. The discussions focused on Nvidia's DGX Spark, an edge AI device offering offline, secure inference capabilities suitable for various sectors like railways, healthcare, and education. This initiative aligns with India's goal to develop its own GPU designs within 3-4 years and reduce reliance on imported technology.
