The National Institute of Engineering (NIE) in Mysuru has been recognized as a Technology Business Incubator (TBI) under Karnataka's TBI 2.0 initiative. This recognition includes ₹10 crore in funding over five years from the Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society. NIE-TBI will focus on agritech, energy, and AI, supporting the state's 'Beyond Bengaluru' vision to foster innovation across Karnataka. TBIs aim to bridge the gap between research and commercialization by nurturing early-stage startups.
