Hyundai Motor Group plans to deploy its Atlas humanoid robots at its US manufacturing plant in Georgia starting in 2028. Unveiled at CES, the robots are intended to automate high-risk, repetitive tasks, reducing physical strain on workers. By 2030, Atlas robots are expected to handle more complex operations. While the company acknowledges job loss concerns, it states new roles will emerge for robot maintenance and training. Hyundai aims to build a factory capable of producing 30,000 robot units annually by 2028.
