Google is reportedly planning to begin developing and manufacturing high-end Pixel smartphones, including Pixel, Pixel Pro, and Pixel Fold models, in Vietnam this year. This move signifies a significant step in shifting early-stage work, known as new product introduction (NPI), away from China. While lower-end Pixel A series development is expected to remain in China, Google already has an established supplier network in Vietnam for assembling its products. This development aligns with broader trends of supply chain diversification.
