Chennai-based OrbitAid Aerospace is set to launch its AyulSAT tanker-satellite on a PSLV rocket Monday to demonstrate in-orbit refuelling technology. The mission aims to extend satellite lifespans and reduce space debris by enabling propellant, power, and data transfers. This will be India's first commercial docking and refuelling interface in orbit. OrbitAid plans a follow-up mission with a 'chaser' satellite by late 2026 to showcase actual refuelling, positioning India as the fourth nation with this capability and fostering an on-orbit economy.
