LAT Aerospace, co-founded by Zomato's Deepinder Goyal, successfully demonstrated ultra-short take-off and landing (uSTOL) capabilities with its electric unmanned aerial vehicle prototype, Lat One v0.1. Despite the aircraft crashing shortly after takeoff due to anticipated structural issues flagged in simulations, the primary objective of proving uSTOL technology was achieved. Goyal emphasized that the crash provided valuable data for the next iteration, Lat One v0.2, highlighting that safe landing remains a significant challenge in aircraft development.
