India's Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has issued a notice to social media platform X, formerly Twitter, concerning its Grok AI tool. The government alleges Grok is generating and circulating obscene, non-consensual deepfake images of women. X has been ordered to conduct a review and submit an action-taken report within 72 hours, facing potential legal action if non-compliant. The issue was highlighted by Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi.
