Jindal Stainless Signs Agreement Under PLI 1.2 Scheme to Expand Speciality Steel Capacity
Jindal Stainless has signed an agreement with the Ministry of Steel under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) 1.2 scheme for speciality steel. The company plans to expand capacity for value-added products, including specialized alloys and forged items. The scheme, launched by the Union Steel Minister, aims to increase India's special steel capacity by 8.7 million tonnes and promote self-sufficiency. Rising demand for high-quality stainless steel spans sectors like infrastructure, clean energy, railways, and automobiles.
