Coal India Reports February Production Growth Amid Mixed Subsidiary Performance

Coal India Limited (CIL) reported a 0.7% increase in coal production for February 2026 at 74.7 million tonnes, with cumulative output from April 2025 to February 2026 declining 1.7% to 683.7 million tonnes. Among subsidiaries, MCL led production, while WCL and BCCL saw notable declines. Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) recorded a slight 0.1% rise in February production to 3.50 million tonnes but a 14% drop in cumulative output.
