
The NITI Aayog has officially declared Mizoram as the 'Ginger Capital of India,' recognizing its high-quality ginger production and growth. Chief Minister Lalduhoma highlighted the role of farmers' hard work in this achievement and announced that the government will resume procurement of ginger and dry broomsticks from February 2 under the 'Bana Kaih' scheme. The state also plans to promote organic farming and expand cultivation of passion fruit, aiming to boost farmers' incomes and local businesses.
