PMJDY Accounts Reach Rs 5,110 Average Balance with 577 Million Beneficiaries

As of February 2026, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) accounts hold a total deposit of Rs 2.95 lakh crore, with an average balance of Rs 5,110 per account. The scheme has expanded to 577.1 million beneficiaries, emphasizing rural inclusion and gender participation with 321.7 million women account holders. Increased usage for savings, direct benefit transfers, and transactions is supported by 399.8 million RuPay debit cards, reflecting growing digital integration and active account utilization.
